Mileva is beginning her 4th season with Surfside. Prior to Surfside, Mileva has 6 years of coaching club indoor for both boys and girls for OCVC and SMBC. Mileva has over 8 years of experience coaching collegiate camps for the University of Washington, Pepperdine University, and Saint Mary’s College of California. Mileva is currently a Doctor of Physical Therapy in Manhattan Beach for orthopedics and sports medicine.
Mileva grew up in Burbank, California where she began volleyball at 9 years old, playing for the Santa Monica Beach Club (SMBC) for 7 years as both an opposite and middle. Graduating from Harvard-Westlake in 2011, where she played both middle and outside for four years, she won three Mission League Titles. During her senior season, Mileva’s team was ranked #1 in the nation after winning the 2010 Durango Tournament, also making the All-Tournament Team. She was named First Team All-Mission League.
Mileva went on to play indoor and beach at Saint Mary’s College of California for four years, making the WCC Commissioner’s Honor Roll. Her team made it to the NCAA Tournament in 2012.
Mileva brings lots of experience in college recruiting at the 16u level where she enjoys staying involved and helping her players find the best fit school for their college careers.
