Victor De La Cruz

Victor De La Cruz is entering his inaugural year as the Assistant Volleyball Coach at Cal State University, Dominguez Hills.

De La Cruz arrived in the South Bay after 10 successful years coaching Boys/Girls high school, college, and club in the Whittier Area. In 2023, he served as an assistant coach under Coach Esko at Rio Hondo College and helped the Road Runners earn the program’s first South Coast Conference Championship in 25 years. In 2019, while being on the coaching staff under Paul Sanchez, Coach Victor helped lead his alma mater, Los Altos High School to their first Boys Volleyball CIF Championship in school history.

In Coach Victor’s collegiate career at Westcliff University, Irvine he competed in both the beach and indoor programs. Coach Victor’s high school career, he holds multiple League Championship, All-league and All-Area awards while being a Soccer and Volleyball Student Athlete.

Coach De La Cruz is happily married to Nadine De La Cruz, who’s a volleyball stud herself entering her senior year as the Libero at Whittier College.
