Tommy Chaffins's Experience
Tommy was born and raised in the South Bay. He is a graduate of Redondo Union High School and Loyola Marymount University. His future aspirations had their start when at 15 years old he read John Wooden’s They Call Me Coach. He immediately knew he would be a teacher and coach. Tommy currently is the Volleyball Head Coach at Redondo Union High School and also teaches Government. He is known for his positive coaching style along with upbeat volleyball practices, Tommy Chaffins brings over 20 years coaching experience to the court. Tommy is the all time winningest coach in the South Bay with a combined varsity win total of now over 764 wins. His girls won the 2014 and 2015 California State title in the highest division. Tommy is looking forward to his fourth year coaching at Surfside!

- Has Coached 13 CIF Players of the Year, 2 Gatorade Players of the Year, 4 Under Armour All-Americans, the 2015 Setter of the Country and also the current USA Junior National Team Setter, and over 150 Div I Collegiate Athletes.
