Lainy Pierce's Experience

Lainy Pierce although now a South Bay resident, grew up in New York where she graduated from Eden High School. During her time at Eden, she won five state championships picking up MVP honors in 2012 and 2013. Lainy was a New York Volleyball Gatorade Player of the Year finalist and earned First-Team All ECIC and WNY honors in 2012 and 2013.

After graduating high school a semester early, Lainy went on to continue her collegiate career at Penn State University in January 2014. She was a part of the Division I National Championship winning team in 2014 helping clinch the school’s 7th NCAA Title and lead as co-captain for the team’s Big Ten Championship in 2017.

Outside of volleyball, Lainy was President of Athletes Take Action, an organization that partners Penn State Athletes with local middle schools to teach anti-bullying lessons and provide students appropriate resources. Lainy graduated from Penn State with Bachelor Degrees in Public Relations and Broadcast Journalism with a minor in Human Development and Family Studies. Lainy comes from a long-line of coaches with both her father and uncle being the boys and girls club directors of Niagara Frontier Volleyball Club in Western New York. She’s had experience throughout her time at Penn State coaching various summer camps for girls of all ages and experience levels. Most recently, Lainy was assistant coach to a 17’s boy’s team in 2021 helping guide the team to a 3rd place East Coast Championship finish.

After a few years in Philadelphia starting her professional career, she made the move out west landing in Manhattan Beach, CA and currently works for Endo Pharmaceuticals a Sr. Specialty Sales Professional.
