Jessica is about to begin her 5th season with Surfside. Prior to Surfside, Jessica has six years of coaching both indoor and beach under multiple clubs and coaches. She is also a trainer at Prime Athletes where she works individually with all levels and ages training specific techniques.
Jessica’s playing career started at Surfside when she was 11 years old. She went on and played three years of varsity volleyball as an Opposite at Redondo Union High School, where she graduated in 2008. She helped lead the Sea Hawks to the 2006 CIF SS Division I-AA Championship. She then attended California Baptist University on a volleyball scholarship as an Outside Hitter. In December 2011, Jessica graduated with a Bachelors in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Exercise Science. In 2008 the Lancers made it to the semi finals of the NAIA National Championship Tournament. In 2009 and 2010 her team made it to the quarters final match. Finishing her volleyball career as a National Champion in 2011 winning the NCCAA Division I Tournament.
After college Jessica gave up playing competitively and began pursuing her coaching career. She has coached both indoor and beach for about 6 years. Jessica coached for Powerplay Volleyball Club, Coast Volleyball Club, Nnfinity Volleyball Club, and Elite Beach Volleyball Club under Marcio Sicoli. Jessica spent 7 summers coaching at Nina Matthies Indoor and Beach Volleyball Camps at Pepperdine University. In 2013 she was the varsity head coach at Pacific Lutheran High School, taking first in the Mulholand league and making it to the second round of playoffs. She is now actively involved at Surfside Volleyball Club as the MB Assistant director and coach.
