Jace Olsen's Experience

Jace is a South Bay resident who played at Mira Costa High School, graduated in 2010. He continued his career at Penn State, then at University of Hawaii at Manoa. Jace holds a Bachelors of Arts and Sciences degree in Sociology.

Jace has coached for Surfside since 2016 working with all age divisions. He previously coached both boys and girls at Mira Costa High School, working both with the boys and girls JV and assisting the girls Varsity team.  

Apart from his coaching experience, Jace has competed at all levels, his playing career includes, an EIVA second team nod as a freshman at Penn State. Two final four appearances with the Nittany Lions. After concluding his career at Hawaii where he transferred to become their teams captain in his first year with the Rainbow Warriors, he played overseas professionally for; Marienlyst VBC (Denmark), a champions league stint with Tours VBC (France), and Rasio Loimu (Finland). He was an all tournament team selection in 2017 for Penn Blast at Adult Nationals Pro Division, he was co-bay league MVP and Daily Breeze Boys Volleyball Player of the Year and Mira Costa Team Captain in 2010. Karch Kiraly Tournament of Champions MVP 2010. Apart from coaching at Surfside he currently works for Medtronic, specializing in AFib ablations and medical device sales.
