Rodante Saballa, 28 years old, has been coaching volleyball for 10 years. He has spent 6 years coaching boys at SMBC, where he played and won two bronze medals at JO’s in 2006 and 2008, and five years coaching girls volleyball at the high school and club level. Last season, he was the head coach for Sports Academy 18-1’s team, and prior to that he spent the last two years in Orange County as a head coach for Saddleback Valley Volleyball Club (SVVC) 17-1’s team. Asides from coaching volleyball, he has worked as a lines judge for 8 years and did the 2015 NCAA Women’s D1 Volleyball Final Four and the 2016 National Championship Match. He played at Pierce College, leading the state in digs in 2010, and transferred to CSUN where he stopped playing due to injury and graduated in 2013. Rodante is now a Sports Chiropractor practicing in Tarzana, CA and serves as a member of the medical team for events hosted by the AVP, FIVB, & USA Indoor/Beach Volleyball teams.
