Kristen Hahn is a current USA Women’s National Team member training for the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo. Her previous national team experience was with the 2014 Women’s National Team that won the gold medal at the World Championship Qualifier where she was named the Best Receiver and Best Libero of the Tournament.

Hahn joined the University of Denver coaching staff in the 2016 season as the volunteer assistant. Hahn coordinated DU’s serve-receive and worked with the libero position, helping the Pioneers to their best reception performance since transitioning to Division-I with a .955 percentage on 2,113 serves and guiding the team to the 69th-best look from the line in the NCAA at 1.41 aces per set. The back row also had its sixth-best performance in school history with 1,680 total digs for a 14.48 per set average.

As a player, Hahn has professional experience overseas as she was a member of NawaRo Straubing in 2015-16, a team competing in the 1st Bundesliga in Germany, and competed for TS Volley Düdingen in 2014-15 where she was a five-time MVP, participated in the CEV Cup, won the silver medal at the Swiss Cup and was named the MVP at the Swiss Cup Final.

Prior to her time at the professional level, Hahn was a three-year standout at Iowa State University and garnered several awards and accolades over the course of her career. A two-time AVCA All-America Second Team member, Hahn took home several awards while being recognized as the premier libero in the Big 12 Conference. She was named to the AVCA All-Region team in 2012 and 2013, was a unanimous selection to the All-Big 12 First Team in her junior and senior seasons, named Big 12 Libero of the Year in the three years she started from 2011 to 2013, took home 17 Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week awards, a conference record, was also an honorable mention on the AVCA All-America and All-Region teams, and a three-time academic All-Big 12 First Team member.

Hahn also possesses several team records, including the most 20-dig matches in a career with 49, most 30-dig matches in a career with eight, owns three of the top four most 20-dig matches in a season with 18, 16 and 14, second on the individual single-season digs record list with 626 as a junior, third on the individual career digs record list with 1,898 and became the first Cyclone to play for the US Women’s National Team in May 2014.

She ended her illustrious career with 1,898 digs in 367 sets for a 5.17 per set average, to go with 75 service aces and 281 assists. Hahn graduated from Iowa State in 2014 with a bachelor’s of science degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in exercise science physical therapy.
