Demi began her athletic career as a softball player, but quickly transitioned into a volleyball player, after following her older sisters footsteps. Demi began playing club for SMBC/LAVA when she was 11 years old. She soon later played at Valencia High School as libero where she earned 2015 Daily News all area 1st team, CIF second team, and most inspirational. During her senior year at Valencia High School, her team competed in the CIF championship final where they earned 2nd place. After her senior year, she learned she had torn her labrum in her hip, and had surgery shortly after. While Demi recovered, she figured she was not going to continue to play volleyball, until she decided to play two more years while she studied at College of the Canyons. During her time at College of the Canyons she led the team in aces and digs and earned 1st team all conference and led her team to the State Championship Tournament where they finished 3rd. Demi is currently applying for Nursing School, as she is aspiring to one day become a Physicians Assistant. Without volleyball, Demi would not be the person she is today, because volleyball is more than a game. Demi loves the game of volleyball and continues to share her passion of the game through coaching.
